A pleated skirt is an ideal wardrobe essential as it’s easy to dress up or down. I wanted to share multiple looks with you that involve minimal styling and effort during this festive season when you are running from one dinner to another.

Yes, it’s easy to find yourself a festive little dress but then you wear it once, post your photos on social media and the fear of wearing it again and the dress being recognised constantly haunts you.
Instead, I like buying outfits that can be worn outside the festive season too. I love to think of multiple ways in which I can style an item before buying.

A knee length or midi length skirt with floaty effect is flattering and can work very well with heels, flats or sneakers. It's ability to highlight the smallest part of the waist is an additional bonus.

The pleated skirt is a great option for trans-seasonal dressing, for spring add a light weight top of your choice and for fall, you can add a pretty jumper for a polished look or an oversized knit for a relaxed dress code.

Look 1-
I bought the powder blue skirt for two reasons- The colour (I don't own anything in this colour) and leather, yes, its leather.
I added an off shoulder top to dress up this outfit.
You can also add a statement piece of jewellery for a special occasion. Off shoulder tops look really good with statement necklaces or earrings.
Add a pair of heels and voila, you are ready to paint the town Blue!
(These heels are currently 50% off, gotta love these EOY sales)

To shop this look-
Skirt- Bardot (available in store)
Top- Bardot
Shoes- Sportsgirl

Look 2-

For my second look, I wanted to create something fun and youthful so added a little bit of midriff show. I thought this look was perfect for a BBQ or drinks with the girls.

To Shop this look-
Skirt- Bershka
Top- Zara
Shoes- Seed Heritage (last season)

Look 3-

The third look is with the pleated wide legged pants- I adore these pants. I wore it for this shoot with a beautiful, waterfall cold shoulder blouse. You can dress it down (not that it is a season to dress down) by simply wearing it with a cropped tshirt or a cami.

Top- Sheike
Pants- Bardot
Shoes- Wittner

Hope you all enjoyed these looks.
Have a Merry Christmas dear readers!
